Money Changers in the Temple!
Today’s “money changers” are those who look to make commercial gain out of God’s Holy Word, those who look to restrict God’s Word through copying that which they are not entitled to copyright – the work of the Holy Ghost.
Further restrictions like image and distribution rights also restrict the ability to reach every creature with the Gospel.
It is time to thrown out the Commercial Boys from the outer court of today’s temple which is us! Christ Jesus gave of himself freely, even His life. We have no divine right to copyright that which he has inspired whether it be literature or song.
Let’s look at just two of the “money-changers.”
Owner One: Rupert Murdoch.
By far the biggest publisher of so called “new translation” Bibles is The Zondervan Corporation which is owned by Harper Collins which in turn is owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch. They are commercially marketed, copyrighted and sit alongside the sales queue with occultic publications like Anton Le Vey’s Satanic Bible.
This means that the NIV just to name just one “translation” is owned by the same person who runs the SkyTelevision platform & the Sun Newspaper amongst many other television operations and publications thus making the NIV just one part of a multi-billion pound empire that includes the selling of The Satanic Bible too!
Where are the profits going then because Murdoch has been known to be generous towards charity but these seem to be of a Roman Catholic origin, Romanism being a cult that has developed from Alexandria, Egypt? In 1999 Murdoch gave $10,000,000 to a new Catholic Cathedral in Los Angeles and it is also reported that he holds a Papal Knighthood! No wonder he embraces the false scriptures of Codex Vaticanus!
According to reports Murdoch bought Zondervan & the NIV for $56. 7 million to go alongside all his raunchy publications including The Satanic Bible & The Book of Lesbian Sex and Sexuality published by Harper Collins.
We have to ask the question whether God would leave his preserved Word in the hands of such a publisher for commercial gain or would he leave it in the hands of his remnant Church determined to reach the lost?
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Well in a sense the NIV and The Satanic Bible are in agreement because the NIV gives Jesus the same title as Lucifer, and describes Jesus as the “Capstone” which is the top stone of the pyramids of Egypt known for their pagan origins.
All this of course is ideal for today’s contemporary “Gnostic Church”, which is bringing together all codes of practice into the “Church” making most Charismatic meetings undistinguishable from witchcraft!
This is becoming increasingly obviously particularly in light of the “new age paradigm shift” so evident at Lakeland with its embracing of Blue Flame witchcraft as well as Warren’s shift away from the unchanging Word in his “purpose-driven” model.
Proverbs 22:19 KJV: That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightiest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
Would God really leave his preserved Word to be sold alongside the filth of the occult? Surely, surely, surely we should transfer the sales profits of the wicked into the hands of the just to promote the one true Bible, which is the only Word to set men free.
Owner Two: Thomas Nelson –
Was he a member of a “round table” set up to bring in a new form of “Christianity” to embrace all cultures and beliefs?
New King James Version and Derivative Copyright Law
According to the the Derivative Copyright Law, the New King James Version is different enough from the King James Bible to be considered a new work or it contains a substantial amount of new material that is original and copyrightable in itself.
A typical example of a derivative work received for registration in the Copyright Office is one that is primarily a new work but incorporates some previously published material. This previously published material makes the work a derivative work under the copyright law.
To be copyrightable, a derivative work must be different enough from the original to be regarded as a "new work" or must contain a substantial amount of new material. Making minor changes or additions of little substance to a pre-existing work will not qualify the work as a new version for copyright purposes.
The new material must be original and copyrightable in itself.
Thomas Nelson Publishers had to make substantial changes to the text of the King James Bible to obtain a copyright. They accomplished this by using multi-syllabic words and more complex phrases to replace the simple words and phrasing found in the King James Bible. notes:
There is evidence to show that Thomas Nelson was linked to a round table designed to bring about “Bibles” more acceptable to what is known as the “New World Order”, that is a coming in of an order where religions can come together, the NKJV and its questioning of Christ’s deity fitting well into this.
What is fact is that Thomas Nelson Publishers are making millions out of naïve Christians and at the same time bringing into being One World “Christians” of the New World Order. According to Bloomberg in fiscal 2005 the company had sales of $253 million with Michael Hyatt their President stating, ``People don't mind reading a book of faith and taking what they want out of it.''
We are seeing a new breed of“ Christians” all around us, a new breed looking for the sensation rather than the Word. The hunger and thirst after righteousness has been replaced by a hunger for entertainment and New Age Christianity has all the answers for this need!
Alongside other publishers Thomas Nelson are making fortunes out of the sales of commercially copyrighted Christian Books. Without trying to be self righteous – simply giving the truth– all of our publications are non-copyright as are our websites.Werefuse to allow Commercial Babylon to creep in for our hearts are to use all profits for the furtherance of the Gospel – not for the gain of shareholders and commercial interest.
Is this the case with Joel Osteen, therefore, whose book Your Best Life Now is commercially produced by Time Warner and sold 3.8 million copies? Is this the case with Rick Warren who wrote The Purpose Driven Life presented by Zondervan, part of HarperCollins owned by Murdoch? This book has made fortunes for the media mogul and the Catholic Church – these books very often bought by naïve Protestants selling their souls to the devil of Commercial Babylon.
Commercial Babylon publishers are making fortunes out of what is known as the Church – no wonder there is little left for mission, and giving to the poor. Surely the time has come to set up charitable trusts to publish Christian books with the profits going to those prepared to commit their lives for the Gospel.
Big ministries clearly incentives by the Commercial Babylon companies to promote their “false Bibles”.
I quote Edward Nawotka who works for Bloomberg;
Some of the burgeoning success of Christian publishing is simply a matter of numbers. Approximately 133 million Americans, or just under half the total U.S. population, are Christians, according to the most recent Statistical Abstract published by the U.S. Census Bureau.
``Three factors are contributing to the growth of the market,'' Hyatt said. ``The first is demographics: As baby boomers grow older and confront their mortality, they are returning to their faith. Next is globalization, which is bringing new religions to our shores and causing people to reconsider how they worship. The third is the mega-church trend.''
Rick Warren and Joel Osteen are the most obvious beneficiaries of this trend. Each weekend, approximately 35,000 people attend Osteen's ministry at Lakewood Church in Houston -- now housed in an arena formerly used by the Rockets, Houston's NBA franchise. Rick Warren's Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California ,counts more than 20,000 in its ministry, while its outreach program has trained a further 200,000 people. These ministries provide a ready pool of consumers.
Women of Faith
Thomas Nelson has even invested in its own form of the mega- church. In 2000,the company bought the Women of Faith franchise. Based in Plano, Texas, this self-described ``spiritual spa'' offers music and a roster of speakers --often Thomas Nelson authors -- over two days in an arena setting. Last year, an average of 15,000 people attended each event, and 422,000 people in all bought tickets.
Not unexpectedly, Thomas Nelson's books are sold in the concourses off the arena. Women of Faith now accounts for 12 per cent of Nelson's revenue. In an understatement of near- biblical proportions, Hyatt said, ``Any typical bookstore signing we could do wouldn't get close to those kinds of numbers.''
It seems to me that the profits from all of this are going to commercial interest rather than the Gospel. How foolish have we been in allowing this to go on for so long?
